Numa zona histórica e de forte identidade em Caminha, surgiu a oportunidade de adquirir dois pequenos prédios contíguos com grande potencial. Individualmente, cada edifício tinha limitações significativas, ambos possuíam acessos verticais independentes, resultando numa perda considerável de área útil. In a historic area with a strong architectural identity in Caminha, an opportunity arose to acquire two small adjacent buildings with significant potential. Individually, each property faced important constraints, both had their own vertical circulation, resulting in a considerable loss of usable floor area.

A proposta consistiu em unir os dois volumes e criar um único acesso vertical, solucionando também as diferenças de cota entre eles. Esta operação permitiu libertar metros quadrados essenciais e conceber uma habitação T8, com a possibilidade futura de ser fracionada em oito unidades T0. The strategy was to combine the two structures and introduce a single vertical access, also resolving the level differences between them. This approach unlocked valuable space, making it possible to design an eight-bedroom dwelling (T8) that can later be subdivided into eight studio units (T0).

Conforme previsto desde o início, o objetivo do investimento foi desenvolver o projeto de licenciamento e posteriormente vendê-lo a um promotor, que deu seguimento ao processo e iniciou a construção. As intended from the outset, the goal was to develop the licensing project and then sell it to a developer, who subsequently proceeded with construction.

A mais-valia do projeto reside precisamente na racionalização do espaço e na reinterpretação funcional destes edifícios históricos, valorizando o património existente e potenciando o seu uso contemporâneo. The key added value of the project lies in the optimization of space and the functional reinterpretation of these historic buildings, enhancing the existing heritage while adapting it to contemporary needs.
